Situated in the heart of Chianti, the region of the most famous Italian wine, the farmhouse has been constructed from an old landowner's villa, which was once part of a "castello", that is to say a fortified village consisting of a complex of houses surrounding the landlord's villa and usually stretching over the top of a hill.
The farmhouse offers now cosy rooms in B&B and comfortable and fully equipped apartments, all furnished in typical Tuscan style. On request it is possible to provide dinners and lunches for groups of friends or families in the small breakfast room. At guests' disposal a nice swimming pool, rental of bicycles, winetasting, meeting room and cookery courses on request.
Relais Villa Nicolò - Chianti

The site forms a U-Shape around a courtyard and is surrounded by beautiful grounds and terraced gardens including a large swimming pool. Villa Piaggiori
Villa Piaggiori is set in the area of the Lucca Villas and dates back to 1700, as the majority of the nearby villas. After various vicissitudes and owners the villa was given to the Capuchin friars who had no home anymore, due to the law of 1855 which abolished the monastic orders and stripped the monks of their riches. The friars transformed the villa into a monastery by whitewashing the frescoes and by dividing the large salons and rooms of the villa in small cells, much more convenient for the monastic life.
The present owners purchased the property in 1995 and since then have been working on a complicated project to bring the villa back to the past splendour. The frescoed walls were again brought back to light and the friars' cells were transformed into finely decorated luxurious suites . Now the villa can be rented for important happenings such as weddings, meetings, family parties and ceremonies.
