The
oldest and most important annual European Music Festival held at the Teatro
Comunale di Firenze. It has become the centre of Florentine music and
some of the most important names in music have performed on the stage
of the Comunale Theatre.
Giacomo Puccini, the famous composer, founded this festival so that some of the most famous characters from his operas could come to life once more on the natural stage above the picturesque Massaciuccoli Lake.

of July. Concerts of famous international and Italian popular singers
and groups are held in two famous squares in the town of Lucca- Piazza
San Martino and Piazza Napoleone.

in Fiesole.
Starting from this year the performances will be held in important squares
of famous art cities
like on Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence. The event takes place from
end of June to the end of July.
