San
Miniato, in the province of Pisa is the area where the prized white truffle
is found. These truffles are of the highest quality due to the fertility
of the woods and the respect shown for the environment when the truffles
are gathered.
During the period of the grape harvest there are many festivals which celebrate wine in Tuscany. However the most famous of these is in Impruneta, in the Chianti region, where as well as wine-tasting in the town square, there is a parade of floats from the four districts of the town. The festival takes place in the last week of September.

because in this area, also known as “Chocolate valley”, there
is a large number of expert chocolate makers.

international event not to be missed by connoisseurs, held at the end
of February. The famous produce of Valnerina can be tasted, including
hams, cheeses and above all the black truffle of Norcia.
